Maelstrom is the world's finest particle-system screen saver for Windows. It uses a fully realized three-dimensional graphics engine to evolve a wide variety of themes over time, producing visual effects that are absolutely stunning.
The program includes twenty-two unique themes, and with its intuitive interface you can specify whether you want to see one or all of them. When active, Maelstrom randomly cycles through all selected themes, smoothly transitioning between them, often with breathtaking results. Variety is built in, and the result is that you won't end up watching exactly the same things over and over.
Maelstrom also offers something that no other screen saver can match. Simply select a checkbox, and all themes will be rendered in anaglyphic 3D mode. When you wear a pair of 3D glasses (which are mailed to all registered users free of charge) the objects will literally leap off the screen.

In an apocalyptic future, direct your troops for supremacy.
In the distant future, humanity has lived a true environmental apocalypse. Remaining human beings are united in three factions and they are fighting for final supremacy in a conflict between three factions: the two terrestrial mentioned before and one alien who wants to invade the planet.
This is the plot of Maelstrom, a new real-time strategy game that gives you a very carefully built story, with an important new gameplay and an impeccable scenarios design.
This title´s gameplay brings a lot of novelties: Convertible units, very advanced artificial intelligence and, and the most important, the technology to manipulate environmental factors in our favour. You can change the ground, destroying buildings and even control the weather.
Finally, Maelstrom has an impressive graphics section that takes full advantage of the visual effects of the latest graphics cards on the market, thus ensuring that gamers enjoy much more of this real time strategy game. |
